Does anybody know of any hotels in Patong Beach?

Just looking for a hotel in Patong Beach, Phuket….anyone got any recommendations?
This is our mini 10 day holiday before we go travelling around australia so it has to be cheap but not too hostel like but not too incredible hotel like.

If you are looking for ‘on the beach’ in Patong you are going to pay through the nose. Hostel types are rare in Thailand because the hotels are all round cheaper than they are in the West so little point there.
Anyhow my recommendation is that you go to the Little Buddha Guesthouse:

I have stayed there several times now and taken friends and family along too. It has beautiful clean rooms and truly lovely friendly staff. It is far enough away to be relaxing and at the same time close enough to every amenity including the Beach and Bangla Road.
Give it a go, it won’t burn a hole in your pocket and I know you will not be disappointed. (I do not work for them! Nor am I on an agency commission…it is just a great place to stay.)
If you get fed up of Phuket try a trip north to Pattaya….or maybe next time.

Stay in an Andaman Suite. The lower level Suite opens to a small patio which is right on the sandy beach. Stayed there last year and it was $75 a night….. It is a 2 minute to Bangla road. You cant beat this hotel….
Hi B-Bop. Patong Bay Garden Resort was an excellent hotel with a good location for shopping and the night life on Bangla Road. Turn right out of the hotel and go down past Subway, there is a massage place that sits behind where you book tours. This place does the best foot massage, you’ll find it because they are always busy.
